    Assistant Director, Spirituality & Religious Life

    Detailed Job Description

    The Assistant Director is an integral part of the Campus Life team and will manage Spirituality and Religious Life programs, operations and facilities. The Assistant Director will develop, coordinate, and oversee a robust and innovative range of programming and educational/exploratory opportunities related to spirituality and religious life. The AD provides leadership and assistance to SRL constituent groups including, but not limited to; chaplains, national organization staff, community members, student groups, and campus partners as it relates to their functions within SRL. The AD works with a senior financial assistant to oversee and provide strategic direction for the SRL budget, in alignment with all Campus Life practices and goals. The AD collaborates with department leadership regarding facility use and assists in the development/maintenance of policy and practices related to SRL specific spaces and resources. The Assistant Director consults on University Advancement efforts when directed by Center for Campus Life leadership on fundraising, grant writing, report writing, and donor relations and may be called upon to consult with campus partners in relation to accommodating students with specific religious and spiritual needs.   This position reports to the Senior Associate Director for Student Engagement and serves as a member of the Center for Campus Life’s administrative team.

    Required Minimum Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE

    ·         3-5 years of professional experience working in spiritual/religious life programming in a higher education setting

    ·         1-3 years of experience as a public-facing spiritual leader within a religious community, higher education, or other setting
